Our group consists of Solas staff and volunteers who are going to participate in the Belfast Marathon relay on the first of May. We are raising money and awareness on behalf of the programmes and services we offer to support children with additional needs and their families in the South Belfast area. Some of these services include: 'Happy Hands' afterschool and Saturday clubs for primary-aged children with autism, the 'Kidz Den' Homework Club for un-statemented children with additional support needs in literacy and numeracy, and an Early Years programme, for children aged 2-3 displaying early signs of developmental delay.

The gap exists in our region for support with all of these programmes and more, but often the funds just aren't there to keep the services going from year to year. With your donations, we'll be able to ensure the maintenance and consistent improvement of these and other programmes for years to come, helping a variety of children and their families cope with the difficulties of SEN.
