Story
Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
We've joined together with national charity Brain Tumour Research to raise money for "The Song For Sue Foundation" in memory of Sue Thomas. Sue Thomas was a fit and healthy woman and a loving wife and mother of three children, when she was diagnosed with a low grade brain tumour. A year later, the brain tumour had upgraded to the most deadly type of brain cancer – a glioblastoma multiforme (GBM4) and despite chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment, nothing could save Sue and she died at home on 1st December 2015, aged 57.
Sue's husband, David Thomas, along with his family, set up "The Song for Sue Foundation" in her memory. Seeing someone you love endure this cruel disease is something we never want another family to experience and the family are committed to not only raising awareness but seeing more money given in funding to fight this dreadful cancer. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
You'll see our team fundraising target on the right and your donation can really help us smash this goal and help give the funding that Brain Tumour research so desperately needs.
The motto of Brain Tumour Research is "Together we will find a cure!" this couldn't be more true. Thank you for your support, every penny, large or small helps.
Much love from everyone at the Song for Sue Foundation Xxx
