Story

Ive been wanting for a while to do something to raise money for the critical care unit at treliske hospital and then this competition came up and it seemed ideal. Ive always been quite strong but this is a whole new world of competition so its completely outside of my comfort zone.

I want to raise money for this charity for the sole reason that this amazing group of people saved Phils life and made it possible for him to come home to his family.

The staff of the critical care unit i feel went above and beyond for us as a family, Phil was in there for a total of 96 days, he missed lots of key events such as both the girls birthdays, Christmas and our anniversary.

Little things such as allowing both girls in with me on Christmas day so we could have an hour as a complete family, buying us cards and helping phil to write them for Christmas and our anniversary and a lovely bunch of flowers on our anniversary as well. But the one that really really was amazing, making it possible to take phil to the beach and have us meet him there, the shear logistics of just getting him to the ambulance let alone to the beach, at the time the staff said this doesn’t happen as much as they would like and some of that is down to lack of funds, so if by asking you all to sponsor me and raise some money maybe that could go towards another family like ours and give them a lasting memory like we have.

Thank you 🙏🏻
