We provide wigs to children with cancer to restore their confidence and identity.

Story

Thank you sooooooooo much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Seeing children lose their hair from treatment for cancer makes me feel upset because I know how much I love my hair.  That is why I have decided to donate my hair to make a wig for other children.  I will be cutting it into a short bob, donating approximately 10”, which is more than enough to make the wigs.

All of your money will go to the Little Princess Trust.  The Little Princess Trust is a children’s cancer charity and their mission is to supply real hair wigs to children suffering with cancer, for the duration of their treatment. In addition they assist children with other conditions which also result in hair loss, the most common being alopecia.

If a suitable donated-hair wig cannot be sourced, then they buy in the most appropriate wig for the boy or girl in question, as close as possible to their original hair. The cost to the charity to purchase one wig is on average between £350-£500. Absolutely any amount of fundraising that you can generate towards this cost will help to continue to provide wigs to children that need them.

As well as donating my own hair, it would be FANTASTIC if I could raise enough money to buy one wig for a child.

Thank you so much for your support,

Sophie Lever xx
