My mum was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1995 which is a cancer of the lymph tissue. After chemotherapy and radiotherapy she beat it and has been in good health since. Only this past weekend (7th August) I found out a very close family friend has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Her diagnosis is still in the early stages, so I don't yet know about what treatment she will need. What I do know is she'll fight it, but it doesn't make it any less heartbreaking for her family and friends.
