So I thought I'd take a stand against the stigma mental health has among our communities. As I live through mental illness everyday and have battled my own demons, I have been in a very dark place and suicide is something I've attempted and also contemplated. I've hit rock bottom and only now I feel comfortable enough to take a stand, speak up and hope that others will reach out hearing my story, and knowing that it's okay to talk. I'm holding two charity events, one being a children's fun day and the other a charity night in the King's Head on 26th November in order to raise as much funds as possible for PIPS. Not only does this charity support people with a lot on their mind, but they support the families left behind in the devastation of suicide and also with someone in the family who has or is suicidle. This means everything to me, and I know it's something that touches everyone's heart so let's work together and hope we can make a difference!
