Let me tell you a story about someone I know called Tim....
About 12 years ago, Tim was very sad and stressed and as a result of this struggled to sustain a healthy diet and happy lifestyle. While he has a lovely family to come back to everyday after work, things just didn't seem right....
On a normal evening at his home in Kent, Tim experienced extreme pains in his arms and was forced to phone an ambulance. Much to Tim's suprise when doctors were examining him they found a 90% cholesterol blockage in his main artery, significantly preventing blood flow to the heart. It was at this point he was diagnosed with coronary heart disease. The doctors acted fast, and immediately operated on him by placing metal tubes into his heart to prevent blockage and a potential heart attack!
It was inevitable that after this drastic operation, things had to start changing. So he discovered cycling and running. As soon as Tim recovered, he cycled 54 miles from London to Brighton in aid of the British heart foundation. He also found a new healthy eating regime with the support of friends and family.
In 2019, Tim is happy, in good shape and very much still here! He still loves his food, but it is now controlled and he is much healthier in his diet. While airport security is a bit of a bummer with these new metal tubes in his heart, he is massively improved. And this is all because of research funded from the British heart foundation and doctors were incredible and new exactly what to do with him.
This charity is very important to me and family as Tim in fact is my Dad!
My charity radio show is taking place Sunday 27th January and broadcasting will start at 10am and will end at 10am the next day! Your donations will very much be appreciated and Thank you so much for reading my story.
Lots of love from the bottom of my healthy heart
