We raise money to Families living with childhood cancer

Arley has always been a special part of our life since his mum nearly had him during our wedding day! Born months apart from Finley and with his sister Esme being my God daughter, I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family continue to be so closely connected with mine.

Last summer their world was turned upside down when Arley was diagnosed with TALL- T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. With all the covid related restrictions and risks on top of all the treatment Arley has undergone, I have felt extremely helpless as Arleys family have moved heaven and earth to get him on a long road to recovery and to fight this illness with him.

Recently as Arley has been more able to do ‘normal things’ again, one small charity which has helped him is The Isabel Baker Foundation.  Arley has always absolutely loved doing water related activities but due to his central venous lines (a special tube that go from the outside of a his body into a big vein near his heart which reduces the need for needles during blood tests and treatment), he couldn’t get it wet due to risk of infection. The Isabel Foundation had recently launched their ‘Dry Suit Fund’ of which Arley was fortunate enough to be given one from them and now he can continue to enjoy paddle boarding or simply just enjoying being in the water. When I spoke to Arley about this, it made me think about my own water loving son and how heartbreaking it would feel for him to have this taken away from him. A dry suit costs approximately £300 so I would love to raise money to cover the cost of some of these for the charity.

The Isabel Baker Foundation also offers a whole lot more incredible help to families of children with cancer considering it is a small charity so have a read about them here…

I will plod my way round the London Royal Parks Half and The Dublin Marathon this October so please donate what you can to this wonderful small charity to help me support them 💚🤍🧡
