BHF - London to Brighton Bike Ride 2012 · 17 June 2012 ·
Thanks for landing this page and spending few minutes to read on.
British Heart Foundation (BHF) needs little introduction. This link provides a quick overview on the great work they do. They organise many fund raising events throughout the year; London to Brighton ride is the most popular with the honour of being Europe's largest bike ride charity !
As a family man with hardly any time to pursue my 'interests' ;-), I've somehow managed to ride a few trails of reasonable distance, in preparation for this and will do a few more before the eventful day. The fact that I did it last year, despite sustaining a serious injury 1/3 into the journey, makes me confident of doing it again, all going to plan !
A few return journey rides I've practiced in recent months can be viewed on Google Maps in the following links, tracked with My Tracks app on mobile.
Hatfield (adjacent to Tunnel) to Welwyn Garden City
Also, if you are interested to know whether(?) or how (!) I did last year's L2B ride, here are two links with map and description:
It's no doubt a fantastic experience, though a bit of mayhem with approx. 29,999 other cyclists jostling for space and some 'high spirited' enthusiasts trying to better their speed records, sometimes at the expense of lesser mortals :-)
Last year, with your generosity, a decent sum of £ 660 was raised; this includes shared contributions from JnJ pals towards my colleagues Masood Rahman and Alexey Sachkov. This year too, I seek your kind support and encouragement.
Thanks again
