Remembered's objectives are: • To encourage future generations to remember the sacrifices made by members of the British Armed Forces. • To promote physical and mental well-being of former or existing members of the British Armed Forces through the provision of grants to Military charities.

Story

St Eds are undertaking a 37 hour swim honouring the 37 alumni who gave their lives during WW1. A team made up of pupils, parents, staff, alumni, grandparents, siblings and friends are hoping to swim the equivalent distance to travelling from mainland England to Albert at the heart of the Somme battlefield - 157km as the crow flies!

We are raising funds for the There but Not There campaign which is a nationwide installation for the centenary commemoration of the end of the First World War in 2018. The installation has 3 aims:To commemorate those who lost their lives and fought in this war, educate the young about the past and the sacrifices made by this generation, and raise substantial funds to help heal Veterans still suffering physically, as well as those with the hidden wounds of mental health issues associated with their time in Service.

Commemorate. Educate. Heal.
