Tiny Lives is a charitable trust that helps to care for 800+ premature and sick newborn babies and their families each year. It supports the Newcastle Neonatal Service at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary that cares for babies from across the North East and Cumbria.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our sons Jake and Kyle were born 16 weeks premature at just 23 weeks and 6 days gestation.  We were told to expect the worst at the time but through the great work done by doctors and nurses in the Special Care Baby Unit at the RVI in Newcastle, and thanks to the charity Tiny Lives that supports the unit, our boys are now thriving toddlers with the world at their feet.

A team of us from St John's Church in Hebburn have foolish chosen (the idea was floated over a few beers one night) to take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge - climbing the peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent, 25 miles long and around 52,000ft of ascent.

This challenge will take place on June 18th 2016 and we intend to complete the challenge within 12 hours.

All donations will be greatly appreciated and will help towards the amazing work that is carried out in the SCBU.  Please check out the videos on the Tiny Lives website showing what it's all about (Jake and Kyle are on this!)
