In May 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike total 26 miles to help raise money for people living with cancer. I would be so grateful if you could help me achieve as much as possible for this great cause, all donations however small or big, can help pay for a Macmillan Nurse for a day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support. I have a number of friends and family I am doing this for.

First, I have a very special friend Charles W who was diagnosed with cancer in July 2024. This news was a real shock to me and this is a great way of showing my support to him and his family.

Second, another special dear friend Amanda P who has a very rare cancer and has been through so much, her courage and happiness is a role model for all.

Third, my Dad who has suffered a very aggressive bone cancer in his leg which required a replacement metal implant from the pelvis to below the knee.

Fourth, anyone on a cancer journey or has been on a cancer journey.

In everyone’s lifetime we will know people on the cancer journey and what a critical role Macmillan staff play in making that journey better for both the cancer patent and their family. Being a charity, they can only provide this service with kind contributions from the public, please help them, so they can help us!

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis.
