Story

Thank you for visiting my page. I am raising money for Act for SMA.

SMA (spinal muscular atrophy) is a disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, taking away the ability to walk, eat, or breathe. It is the number one genetic cause of death for infants. SMA is caused by a mutation in the survival motor neuron gene 1 (SMN1).

One of my friends child has been affected by it and I would like to raise money in order for this charity to be able to provide equipment for those affected. They were recently turned down by children in need so any donation would be awesome. The equipment required to support their child is expensive.

With the stop drinking it means no alcohol will pass my lips throughout September. Let's bare in mind I do have a LARP event, a hen do to attend as well as freshers at uni. These were events I was planning on drinking on. So this is a challenge on its own.
