Story
During lockdown 2.0, Steve Archer and Gareth Watts entered lockdown with a different mindset to get out and about challenging themselves to 25 miles per week, walking the hills and beautiful surroundings of the local area. Also following men’s mental health week, a subject that is close to the hearts of the guys and to raise awareness, we thought Mind was the perfect charity to raise money for..
Those of you that don’t know Gareth Watts, I’m sure many do 😂. Gareth is one of Mineheads trending pub connoisseurs and has put the pints down and his walking boots on! What Gareth has achieved so far over lockdown 2.0 is inspirational in itself.
Steve Archer has been pushing Gareth out of his comfort zone and accompanying him on his lockdown walks. There has been plenty of laughter, bants and cheese eaten along the way. Steve’s brother Gary Archer will also be joining them on the walk as his resilience and drive will come in handy!
Local Plumber Gavin Paviour of GP PLUMBING and HEATING will be supporting the guys along the way with his first aid kit, pit stop inspirational talks and keeping the guys fed and watered.
We will be leaving culvercliffe at 5:30am on Saturday 19th December on route to Lynton, Lynmouth along the SW coast path.
We have set a target of £500, but we are hoping to exceed that amount!
