London to Paris challenge · 8 June 2022

Saint Francis Hospice is a leading provider of palliative care for people living in Havering, Brentwood, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham. We care for people from 18 years of age, of any race or religion, who have a life limiting illness due to cancer, heart disease, motor neurone disease or respiratory disease and we provide physical, spiritual and emotional care and support to patients and their families.

Story

When lockdown happened in March 2020 I caught the bug (cycling not COVID-19).

For years I would cycle to Gidea Park station each morning to begin my commute to work (3/4 mile) never for once thinking I could ever consider 320 miles in 4 days.

I have now set myself this challenge after last year’s postponement (due to the Covid situation in Europe) and I am raring to go !

I am doing this for a very worthwhile cause ; Saint Francis Hospice Romford who provide experienced care for people with terminal illnesses.
