At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'd originally planned to run the Great North Run 2012 and just raise money from family.  The idea of running the Great North Run for Alzheimers was to give my family a chance to see me run in memory of my Nan and for my mother, who suffers from early onset alzheimers.

Sadly my Dad passed away suddenly on July 10th 2012, so in his memory I hope to raise as much as possible for the Alzheimers society as he never gave up hope on the cause.

He was a great man and I hope to do him proud on 16th September and hope he is with me in spirit.

The first donation was from a generous memorial collection taken at Dads funeral - many, many thanks to everyone who donated.
