Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm ticking off one of my bucket list events this year to mark my 60th birthday by running the London Marathon on 23rd April and trying to raise some funds for the Motor Neurone Association.
As many of you may know my father, Bill Short, sadly died following an 18month battle with motor neurone disease. An illness with no cure or treatments that slowly takes away the ability to move your muscles resulting in the eventual need for mobiliy aids, feeding and breathing support. MND takes away so much from the people it effects and the families it touches, people who have a life to live. The MND association provide invaluable support to people who, like my father, need increasing physical and emotional support as their disease progresses. Not only do they support patients but their families. Many of whom are faced with their own emotional struggles as they watch their loved ones life change irreversibly. The research they undertake will change lives, maybe even the life of someone you know. It is a cause close to my heart and one I am proud to take on this challenge for. Please help support this incredible charity and the invaluable work they continue to do. through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
