I’ve worked for this amazing charity since April 2019 and hope to raise as much money as possible to help the charity to deliver essential services to people living with cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support, like many charities, is facing a significant income reduction because of the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic is impacting everyone but the fundraising and service delivery challenges faced by Macmillan and the charity sector as a whole are extreme. 

In my little way and with the support of my family, friends and colleagues I am hoping to raise £2,100 by cycling solo from Macmillan's office in London to their support centre in Shipley, West Yorkshire on the longest day of the year.

The ride will be at least 210 miles long and involve climbing more than the combined height of Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike from sea level. I've never cycled this distance before and have to admit that I'm a little worried about the climbing in the final 50 miles!

Cancer has quickly become the forgotten ‘C’ in recent weeks. People living with Cancer need our support now more than ever and your donation will make a big difference, helping to ensure that Macmillan can maintain essential front-line services.
