In May 2017 I will be walking from London to Brighton, a distance of 100km. There are a number of reasons why I am undertaking this test of endurance;

To get a bit fitter, to celebrate the birthday of one of my fellow walkers as we walk, to follow in the footsteps of my father who did this many years ago and finished 17th in the country but most importantly to remember a caring and wonderful person who we lost this year and to support her partner who will be walking with me.

Colchester Hospital provided great support to Vicky and her family and to Mark during the last days of her life. I hope that I can reach my target to help them to continue doing their great work. I hope that during the walk we can remember Vicky and the fun times that we had and the many laughs that we shared
