Event: London Marathon 2019, on 28 April 2019
We will once again be cheering on #TheBrainyBunch team around the most famous 26.2mile course on Sunday 28 April 2019. They'll be giving it everything they’ve got to help defeat brain tumours

Story

I have been incredibly lucky to win a ballot place at The London Marathon! And will be running for The Brain Tumour Charity, where I work.

Brain Tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40.I see first hand just how much this disease can affect people of all ages from babies to grandparents. It affects every part of you which makes you, 'you', from your ability to move, work and form relationships. And despite all this, less than 3% of all cancer funding in the UK is spent on brain tumours.

This must change. A Cure simply can't wait.

Having only started running this year this will be my biggest challenge to date with a lot of training and runs to undertake as training for the big event!

My first event in preparation will be Hell Runner - Hell Down South on Saturday 24th November. This is a 10+ mile endurance challenge! The second is the Richmond 10k on Sunday 9th December. The third is the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Half Marathon on Sunday 10th February 2019!

I will need every single cheer on the day to get me over that finish line! But this is just a small challenge in comparison to what people affected by a brain tumour have to deal with on a daily basis.
