Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
From 14th to 18th June I (along with 24 others) will be cycling 80 miles a day, for four consecutive days from London to Paris to raise donations for Cancer Research UK.
Those of you that know me will be well aware that I tend to avoid any form of aerobic / cardio exercise. However for this cause I have committed to challenging myself, training extensively for and completing what will be a tough few months leading to 4 long days in a (very hard) saddle.
If neither the thought of me suffering for hours on end in the saddle, or pulling on some pretty unflattering lycra isn't enough for you to donate, perhaps raising donations to Cancer Research will be.
Cancer has undoubtedly inflicted a loved one in your life. Over the past few years I've lost two close family members to it and also the chance to share memories and life milestones with them.
We all have busy lives and tend to take those around us for granted until it is too late. Watching a family member, or friend's quality of life diminish is truly terrible and anything we can be lucky enough to do to speed up the process of finding new treatments and cures, we should.
Any donation you can make will go towards a great cause and will hopefully provide opportunities for those in the future we may not have been lucky enough to have.
