Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I ran the London Marathon in April 2011 and even though my finish time was respectable I said "never again". Yet here I am in advanced training taking on the challenge once more, and again for a very worthy cause. I am hoping four years on I can succeed in achieving a personal best and finish under 4hrs 30mins. Beating Bowel Cancer is an amazing charity, and I did not have any hesitation in choosing to run on their behalf. Some of my own family members have suffered; and also my idol the late, great Bobby Moore - sadly many more thousands too. My aim is to simply raise as much money  as I can for Beating Bowel Cancer. Please support me, any contribution, no matter what size, is hugely important and very much appreciated.

Cheers.

Steve

Bowel cancer remains the UK’s second biggest cancer killer – yet 90% of cases can be treated successfully if they are caught early. Did you know that every year more people are diagnosed with bowel cancer than run the London Marathon?

Beating Bowel Cancer exists to help raise awareness of the symptoms and promote early diagnosis so, with your help, we can save lives. Beating Bowel Cancer is also a charity that supports patients and their families.  Whether people are worried about symptoms, recently diagnosed, or living with bowel cancer, we are here to help.
