Story

27-4-22 we finally hit the £10k target I set a while back and I thought why stop there? I have been blessed to be able to keep living my life albeit with issues but I got away with minor issues compared to other stroke survivors. But while I can raise awareness and money to help others less fortunate I will!

So here we are..... ive set a target of £5k extra and im positive i can achieve this!

On the 25th of January 2019 I woke to severe pains in my head. What followed that was extreme sickness, inability to speak, white blindness, extreme dizziness and weakness down my left side. At the time I had no idea what had happened and stayed in bed for 6 weeks until an MRI scan revealed that I had in fact had a stroke that had affected 2 different parts of my brain. Life not been easy at all since but one thing that kept me going was the thought of being able to race with ginetta.

So I went out and purchased a car and decided that I would race and raise money for the stroke association. If I could also raise awareness in working age strokes then that would be fantastic. People still seem to think that strokes happen to people of a senior age but strokes in working age people has increased and it's very important to recognise the signs.

But after a full year of fighting for my licence in 2020 I didn't make it over the finish line. So new year new season and the fights on again.
