Update for September 2016

We are delighted to have been given a grant of £50,000 from the British Kidney Patients Association which will greatly boost or fund raising and take us closer to our target.
Thank you BKPA.

The patients, staff and Grampian Kidney Patient Association have chosen Stonehaven as the next site for a satellite haemodialysis unit which will be situated within Kincardine community Hospital.

In addition to a bequest of £250,000, a further £150,000, in Capital costs, is required to set up this unit and so in spring 2011 our fund-raising campaign was launched. (Staffing and ongoing costs will be met by NHS Grampian)

There are currently no dialysis facilities in the south of NHS Grampian, meaning that patients who require dialysis have to travel to Aberdeen 3 times weekly for between 4 and 6 hours of treatment.  In addition to the travelling, a further one hour is required in preparation and recovery periods. There are currently 25 patients in the Area who could benefit from such a unit.

So please dig deep and donate now to our very worthy charity in aid of the "Stonehaven Dialysis Unit".
