As many of our family and friends know the 27th October marks a year since David lost his battle against cancer at St Luke’s Hospice. He was a loving husband dad grandad brother and uncle who is missed everyday. A group of our family have decided to take part in St Luke’s Night Strider 2020 to help raise money and give back to the amazing hospice who helped make David’s final weeks and days as comfortable as possible at home and at the hospice where he sadly passed away. 

We will be doing an 11 mile walk starting from Rotherham’s New York stadium to David’s favourite ground which was Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane then finishing off at Sheffield Wednesdays Hillsborough Stadium. 

It costs £1,160 per hour to run St Luke’s, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

Of that £1,160, they have to raise £870 themselves.
