We provide specialist palliative care to comfort patients and their families

Story

For over 20 years staff here at Nightingale House Hospice have created an environment that gives patients and their loved ones quality time to spend together. Not having to worry about the care a loved one receives, knowing they are in safe hands means every second spent together is dignified and peaceful. Without support such as yours, our specialist palliative care units wouldn’t be able to deliver such high standards.

IMPERIAL COMMERCIALS 🚛 LAUNCHES TIP TOP FUNDRAISING IDEA

A national commercial vehicle dealership has introduced an original way to raise funds for Nightingale House Hospice.

Imperial Commercials in Rhostyllen, Wrexham have branded one of
their tipper trucks with the hospice logo on the side to raise money and build awareness. When a potential customer wants to test drive it they will be asked to make a donation to the Hospice.

Stuart Cornish, Imperial Commercials, Regional Truck Sales Manager explains: “My Grandad was a patient at the hospice and I have seen first-hand the wonderful care given. As a business we want to help raise the funds the hospice needs to keep going. We will be asking customers to make a voluntary donation to utilise one of our two demonstration vehicles which are generally used to promote sales of our trucks in the North Wales and North West areas.

We have one DAF CF450 FAD 8x4 Tipper (pictured) and one XF480 FTG Tractor Unit. The vehicles have a variety of uses and are used primarily in the construction industry for moving raw materials such as stone and sand.

Thanking the company, Debbie Barton, Hospice Corporate Partnerships Manager said: “Not only will this new initiative raise much needed funds, but it will at the same time raise awareness about the hospice as the vehicle is driven around the area. The money raised will help us in our work providing care, comfort and support to local people and their families with life-threatening or life-limiting illness.”

Staff, volunteers and patients had an opportunity to see the truck
first hand when Stuart drove it to the hospice.
