Story
In January of 2013 myself and my good friend Les decided that it would be a good idea to run a marathon, asking ourselves the question “how hard can it be?” After a few months of training my back, calves and especially my knees will tell you “pretty bloody hard”. This is the first time I have run a marathon and I have set myself a target of under 4 hours. For a first timer, and a lazy git, this is a fairly competitive time and I would like to use this as a bargaining tool to get you to donate.
The charity I am running for is Cancer Research UK. I’m sure everyone has some experience with the devastating effect cancer can have on loved ones, whether it be work colleagues, friends or family, and I don’t think I need to drive home how important raising money for this charity is. I have set myself a target of £450 and I would like to think that with your help I could reach my goal. Whether you’re a student who has a spare quid or an oil worker with many spare quids whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated and will go some way to helping Cancer Research.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Please dig deep and give whatever you can. Thanks,
Stuart
