Story
Over the last 6 years I have trained for this day. I will be running 63 miles over 42 peaks of the Lake District Fells, climbing over 27,500ft, similar to that of Mount Everest (minus the altitude haha!) inside 24 hours.
Running for 24 hours is not a small challenge by any stretch of the imagination, but my challenge is nothing compared to those who embark upon, often life long battles with their mental health!
Raising the awareness around mental health and supporting Mind has never been so important. Mental health issues are more on the rise than ever before, especially within our young people. We must safeguard our future and help those who are suffering.I am doing this challenge as part of Upper Wharfedale School's mental health awareness campaign happening throughout June 2018. The school and some its students will be offered the opportunity to do their own challenges and fund raising events in support of both the school and mental health awareness. Lets get behind mental health as a whole and start improving the minds for the future!
