Abseil the Emirates Spinnaker Tower · 30 May 2016 ·

At Wetwheels we ensure everyone can access the water with a safe, barrier-free, enriching experience. Every pound raised is vital to ensure we can welcome as many disabled people onboard as possible, with their families, friends and carers, providing life-changing experiences.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 30th May 2016, seven brave staff members from Surrey Choices, will be taking part in the Abseil the Emirates Spinnaker Tower Challenge to raise funds for the Wetwheels Charity.

Wetwheels is a Community Interest, not for profit, company limited by guarantee established in March 2013.  There are three directors. The organisation was formed in response to a demand from disabled people wanting access to the sea which is denied to many due to barriers of access. This has been made possible with the acquisition of a unique, fully adapted and fully inclusive, custom-built powerboat called Wetwheels. The concept was piloted from September 2011 and to date, more than 1,500 disabled, disadvantaged and elderly people have had the opportunity to participate on Wetwheels.

We would be grateful for any donations you can make to this worthy cause and help us to take more disabled people out onto the water while we make the 100m abseil down the side of the iconic building in Portsmouth.
