Story
On the 11th May 2022, we were heartbroken to announce that we lost a wonderful partner, daughter, sister, aunty, friend and colleague Sue Cope.
Sue was the most inspirational, passionate and capable person and she would take on anything that came her way.
At this most difficult time, I think those who knew Sue would know that she wanted to make an impact in whatever she did, and perhaps this funding for such vital research is where we will see her shine once more.
Sue's battle with her brain tumour may have been short, but she showed such courage through surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Sadly, these treatments were just not enough and the work Brain Tumour Research do as a charity, will be the only thing that could change that in the future.
Brain Tumour Research has one ultimate goal- to find a cure. It is shocking to know that Brain Tumour Research do not receive any government funding and they receive less than 1% of the funding from the Cancer Research organisation. Without pages like this, the vital work that they do would not be possible, and a cure will not be found.
This is why we ask that any donations in Sue's memory be donated to this incredible cause.
Finally, as a family- we would like to thank everyone for their generosity and kindness, we hope to make Sue proud with the efforts we intend to make to action change.
Thank you again,
Chris and the Copes x
