The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, situated in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, exists to help our patients achieve the best quality of life possible in whatever time remains for them. Where it may not be possible to add days to lives, we aim to add life to days for patients and their families.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

UPDATE!
I completed the London Marathon in a time of 5hrs, 47.44mins.  I am chuffed to bits that I managed it in under 6 hours.  Had an absolutely fantastic day, the crowds were unbelievable and certainly helped me the whole way round.  I would recommend anyone to do the London Marathon!!

I am running in the London Marathon on 17 April 2011 to raise money for the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. The hospice provide specialist care for people with life-limiting illness, usually cancer, and support for their families and carers.  The hospice is a registered charity which relies on donations from supporters to continue to operate what is an essential service for so many people with cancer and other terminal illness.

I am a novice runner, having only taken it up after being offered a place by the PPWH, which I accepted (with a little  hesitation) - a complete moment of madness!

I am hoping that my moment of madness will generate lots of support, and money, for this most worthwhile cause.

My employer, Allianz, support Help the Hospices as their corporate charity and will double the total amount of money that I raise.

Thanks once again for visiting my page and making a difference to this worthy cause.
