Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Susie was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in August 2013 and underwent radiotherapy, chemotherapy and then finally a stem cell transplant in March 2014. She is now on maintenance drugs and is hoping to stave off a relapse for as long as possible. The problem with Myeloma is that there is no cure......yet. We feel passionately about raising money for Myeloma UK so that a cure can be found.

"It's been exactly 3 years since my transplant and at present I feel fit and healthy, so while I do feel well I have taken up the challenge to ride my bike from London to Paris to help raise funds and awareness for Myeloma. This really is an enormous challenge for me as I will have to cycle 500km over 4 days. Bike riding was out of the question for me for quite some time due to the risk of falling off and breaking bones that were already very damaged by the Myeloma. I have therefore started my training from scratch, so we will see how it goes!! Luckily James and Piers have agreed to do the bike ride with me".
