Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I think some of you know that I have now been growing my hair for a while now and I cannot believe it's been nearly 2 years! I plan to donate this to the Princess Trust to help kids and young people that need wigs, who have lost their hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. By the time I get my haircut on 4th August I am hoping to have over 11 inches cut!
Although I am donating my hair, I would also like to raise whatever money I can to Brain Tumour Support as this is a charity close to my heart (and head).
Nearly 2 years ago, I found out that surgery was potentially on the cards for me to remove the brain tumour I have had since I was 21. It wasn't an easy time for me or my family, but I had a lot of support from them and also from Brain Tumour Support. One of my memories I have was when I was drying my hair - it really upset me that I could lose it, so I decided to grow it in the hope it could hide any scars. Luckily, for me, things have worked out and after further scans, there has been no growth and surgery is not needed.
Growing my hair is a small gesture, but I believe will make a big difference to someone and by donating whatever you can will support someone that has a brain tumour as well as their families and loved ones.
So far you have smashed my orginal goal of £150, so lets see if we can get to £500! This will mean that Brain Tumour Suport can provide a full 2 months of support group video chats (72 virtual meetings across support group regions) supporting hundreds of patients and their loved ones. Please see - https://www.braintumoursupport.co.uk/together-500 for more information.
Thank you
