100 QUARANTINE MILES

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be in a hotel room quarantining for two weeks from 25 October (see the photo above) and would like to use that time to do something positive and raise money for a cause that is increasingly important as the coronavirus creates anxiety and limits our interaction with people and the daily activities that help us keep going. I think everyone is getting worried about the short and long term mental health of young people going through this crisis and the long term psychological effects it may have on them and so I have chosen to raise funds for Young Minds. Please read about the work that they do below.
I love walking and it is one of the activities that has been really important for my mental well being over the last year, which has been tremendously challenging for me and my family. I have walked for hours over the last few months on my own or with friends and family and am now challenging myself to walk 100 miles in my hotel room (about 7 miles a day) during my hotel quarantine. One mile is about 176 lengths of my room so I'll hopefully manage 17,600 lengths over my quarantine :-) Watch this space!
