Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Starting Tuesday 18th May at 10pm, I'm running 19 hours for the 19 people who take their own lives every day in the UK and the many who have tried to or considered it.

In 2020 I changed my life for the sake of my mental health. I was in a very dark place - i wasn’t coping and i was struggling to talk to anyone, afraid of the stigma. If I didn’t change my life and found the courage to speak up, I’m not sure how I would have got myself out of the daily battle I was having.

I was lucky enough to have found a way to talk, get help and make some changes to help myself, but there are many people out there who don’t have that and don’t see an end to their pain, they are unable to H.O.P.E. I’m running to raise money and awareness to stop the mental health stigma, to prevent suicide and to let people know it’s important to talk and reach out to someone. You should never feel alone.
