As many of you know my son Harry has an unfortunate muscle condition that means he cannot currently walk or stand. With the huge price tags attached to any type of special needs equipment, finding Harry a suitable power chair to get around in was tricky (especially as the NHS cannot help until the age of 5). I was lucky enough to find out about the amazing charity Designability, who make and provide the Wizzy Bug! This is a truly brilliant first power chair for young children and Harry was lucky enough to get a Wizzy Bug on the long term loan scheme. It has been fantastic for him, allowing him to keep up with friends and maintain his independence, which can often be so hard when unable to move on your own.

The Wizzy Bug has truly changed Harry's life and our life as a family. I have decided to run the Bath Half for Designability and try to raise as much as I can for them as it is the best way I can think of saying Thank You, and to ensure that they can continue to help other families in the future. And I also like the fact the Bath Half is dubbed as a 'flat half'!

The Bath Half will be a challenge (and a lot of training is required and underway!), but one that I'm looking forwards to. My two fab little boys and lovely husband will be there on the day at the start and finish line and will be the best motivation I can wish for! I hope you can help support me in raising plenty for this great cause.
