This March, myself and Sammi ran the iNVNCBL 10km obstacle course at Margam Park to raise money for the RNLI. It was 10km of mud, pain, and difficult terrain. The course saw us carrying tyres and logs up hills, traversing walls and wading through freezing cold water and waist deep in mud. After that ordeal, we decided that 10km of punishment was not enough, and we are now going for the Triad - Three iNVNCBL courses in one year!  We've already got the Margam course under our belts, so our next will be Pembrey Sands on the 1st July, and Cardiff will come later in the year!

We are fundraising for the RNLI as we both have strong links to the sea, both coming from a Sea Cadets background, with a strong passion for watersports such as sailing and kayaking, and we are both in the process of applying for the RNR, so the RNLI is a natural choice for us to support!

I am also a volunteer crew member at Barry Dock Lifeboat, so the RNLI is a charity that is incredibly close to myself and my family and friends. I can also see firsthand how important the RNLI's work is, and how crucial it is to raise money for this amazing charity. 95% of the charity's money comes from public donations, and that is all money that goes towards fuel for our lifeboat, rescue equipment, and lifejackets, oilskins and yellow wellies to keep me and my fellow crew safe. This money means that we can go out to help people at sea, and then come home safely too, so it really does mean a lot to me. 

Your donations go towards giving the volunteers at the RNLI whatever they need to save lives at sea, "from boots to boats". More information can be found on the RNLI website (www.rnli.org).
