Story
Only 1 year ago I couldn’t run 5 minutes. I struggled with my weight and wasn’t the person I wanted to be. Running changed my life and now I can say I’m back to my best.
This journey all started when my Granny Spain passed away and I wanted to do something in her memory. I ran the Brighton marathon last year in her memory and found myself researching and wanting to learn more about the different types of Alzheimer’s. This has since made me really want to dedicate myself to trying to raise as much money as possible for this charity and every amazing thing they do to try stop this horrible disease.
This leads me to this……. Originally I didn’t get a spot at London Marathon due to the 840,000 people who applied to run and the 54,000 spots. So I decided to book a spot to run Paris Marathon on Sunday 13th April. 3 weeks down the line I get a call from Alzheimer’s saying they have a extra spot and would like me to run for them at The London Marathon on Sunday 27th April…… so fuck it I’m doing them both.
I might be mad but I’m doing it for my Granny Spain and all the other people who are affected by this horrible disease.
Thank you to anyone who is willing to help me raise the money 🫶🏻
