Story

** For anyone donating more than £25, you can have the name of a loved one who has been affected by Alzheimer's or Dementia on the back of my t-shirt, which I will be wearing on the day! Send me a message with the name by the end of March **

In 2022, I lost my Godfather, Uncle Dan, to Dementia. He leaves behind my godmother and countless friends all over the world. His full and very storied life, ranging from rescue missions in the Vietnam War to having a successful career in media, was sadly cut short by this horrible disease.

I am running the London Marathon to support the amazing work of the Alzheimer’s Society, a leading charity that supports people with Alzheimer's and Dementia, and am asking for sponsorship or a donation towards this vital charity. I am doing this in Dan’s memory and to support others who require care and are struggling with the consequences of this awful disease.

This opportunity will not only give me a chance to change the lives of people with Alzheimer's and Dementia but also give my godmother yet another wonderful memory about her beautiful husband. She also believes, like me, that it's important to raise awareness for this disease and support people going through it. Many people are helped tremendously by this charity, so please donate what you can!
