Everyone deserves to feel clean, yet millions of people in the UK today are going without the hygiene basics - such as razors, toothpaste or laundry detergent- that so many of us take for granted. With your support, we will help those pulled into hygiene poverty in communities across the UK.

Story

Galvanised by the belief that being clean is not a luxury or a privilege, The Hygiene Bank Medway is a local branch of a registered, people powered, grassroots charity grounded in community. We collect and re-distribute donated toiletries, hygiene and household cleaning products to Medway charities, voluntary organisations and schools. These in turn are then given for free to their beneficiaries. Our passion stems from a sense of injustice: it's not right that anyone should face hygiene poverty in modern Britain.

We are a self funded project and if you are able to support us and those we work with all donations are very gratefully received, and will eable us to continue the great work we are doing across Medway. Sadly demand for our support is so high we are unable to rely solely on product donations from our local drop off boxes and now need to purchase the items we are short of!

90p in every pound of your donation to this Justgiving campaign will be used to directly purchase much need hygiene products. These will be sent to our local community partners that include Home-start Medway, Medway Foodbank, Children & Family Hubs, Pathways to Independence, Baby Basics, YLF plus many families and children via our schools partnership!

The project is one big community effort, helping others, so please join us in trying to make a difference 💛
