Story

The Link Cafe (TLC) is a project within The Salvation Army; set up four years ago by three women each with a strong agenda to fight domestic abuse and support women who have fled their perpetrators.
We differentiate our service by providing long term emotional and practical support. None of our women have ever gone back to their abusers (national average 1:4).
We provide counselling, mentoring, home visits, we support them at housing and social services meetings, we facilitate education advice, and support them throughout their legal proceedings. We provide food parcels, toiletries, clothes and other second hand goods. We operate a drop-in centre where the women receive emotional support from our volunteers and each other, as well as workshops and courses from professionals.
We are proud to empower these women from survivors to warriors.
Next year we are expecting a huge rise in referrals due to the confinement of the pandemic and are building/expanding our services accordingly.
We rely totally on donations, your donations, please help us survive and expand: please support us today.
