Every year on New Year's Day the Hornsea Inshore Rescue team give over their time to raise money for their organisation by letting a bunch of lunatics take a freezing cold dip in the sea. I missed it last year (by cunningly forgetting to register in time), but this year I was pressured into it and finally took the plunge.
