I am putting myself through this torture in memory of my father who lost his battle with lung cancer in 2006. Cancer Research is an incredible charity and if I could raise even just a little bit of money for them hopefully it will help families who are going through what my family went through. It also feels good to do something in his memory- he was always convinced that I had the right physique for a long distance runner, although I am sure those who have seen me panting around the local duck pond would disagree. Cancer is incredibly challenging so it only seemed right that I put myself through a challenge to raise money. Please sponsor me!
