Last year was tough for many, and yet, more than ever, we realised how lucky we are, as there are families coping with tremendous hardship and the anxiety of caring for very poorly children in addition coping with the pandemic. 

The charity Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children Charity provides critical care for seriously ill children and supports their families in a real time of need. If you can spare £5 please support their valuable work - it would be really appreciated. 

I'm no runner and so this challenge requires training.  Earlier this year, training was halted when the police where I live in South West London recommended women stayed safe and at home -  I live in the road parallel to where Sarah Everard went missing last month. Like many women, I was angry that in the already shrunken world of the pandemic, the world just got a lot smaller for women and exercise kept many of us sane in the lockdowns.  So, I am also running for Sarah Everard and the right for all of us to walk or run safely, day or night.
