As a family we will be taking part in the "Round the Island Race" and fundraising for the MS Therapy Centre in Bedford.  

We will be sailing around the Isle of Wight as part of a 1,600 strong fleet where around 16,000 sailors are taking part competitively or to raise money for their chosen charity. With no prior sailing experience - and a crew member with a fear of deep water - this will be a challenge for us all, but is sure to be an exciting and unforgettable experience. The race will last around 8 hours and involve navigating the Islands obstacles, other participants and the Great British climate (no doubt resulting in a few "soggy bottoms").

We have chosen to support the MS Therapy Centre in Bedford as over the past few years we have seen a number of friends and family members hugely impacted by Multiple Sclerosis, either from suffering themselves, or sadly losing loved ones as a result of this degenerative disease.

The MS Therapy Centre in Bedford provides relief and support for those seeking treatment, advice or simply a place to socialise with others facing the same challenges. The centre receives no government or statutory funding and relies solely upon donations and fundraising to provide the vital therapies which cost the centre £1000+ a day.
