*** Adrian slipped away from us on 29th September 2022, a mere 15 months after diagnosis.  MND is a brutal disease that shows no mercy and has robbed us of a wonderful man who was dearly loved by so many. ***

In late Spring 2021 Adrian noticed a weakness in his hand whilst playing a much anticipated round of golf,  post lockdown.  It came as a massive shock to be diagnosed with MND in June, aged 56. His condition  has deteriorated rapidly.  A family man who enjoys life to the full, there remains much to be grateful for. The support of family and friends alongside the brilliant advice from the MNDA has meant that day to day living is as comfortable as possible. Financial grants from the MNDA assisted with ramps, a chair and a new downstairs wetroom. Local support from the East Kent NHS team as well as the local East Kent MNDA volunteers has been invaluable. 

Every penny Team Betts raises will go to fund vital research into finding a cure for this cruelest of diseases via the MNDA, as well as funding local projects in the East Kent area.
