Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page we are raising money for the MND Association, by sponsoring us your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease. MND is a fatal, devastating disease that can affect anyone at any time. It attacks motor neurones, the nerves that control movement, it leaves people locked in their bodies, unable to move, walk, talk and eventually breath. There is currently no effective treatment and no cure.

So a few of us here at LGN will be taking part in a 10 mile walk on May 21st 2017 as our work colleague Linda's Husband Phil Lush was sadly diagnosed with this life limiting disease on the 11th of January 2017. Not until then did any of us realise the impact not only on Phil but on all his family and friends that this condition has. With no cure on the horizon, we are hoping that our contribution will fund much needed research for future sufferers. The money raised on this walk will go towards a blood test, which they are hoping to develop for a quicker diagnosis which will enable support to be available immediately.
