****UPDATE**** 

Sunday 26th July 2015

Well done to Team MerPol who took part in the Headway Wirral West Kirby Marina  annual Dragon Boat Race.  

We have managed to raise so far, with the generosity of the people we love to serve and protect, a whopping £475!! and I believe there is still more to come, meaning we have reached our target!!

Also a big well done to Law Costing Ltd who got Silver and Carpenters Law UK who got Bronze.  Lets not forget the Charity this event was all about, Wirral Headyway, who came a very close 4th. 

On behalf of team MerPol I would like to say a big thank you to everyone that donated to this cause. Also an even bigger thank you to Peter Barr, who without his dedication, motivation and team inspirational talks we would have never achieved what we did.  So Mr B, THANK YOU ;)

The just give fundraising page is active for another month to give people a chance to donate who haven't already done so.

Headway Wirral is a local charity that works to improve life after brain injury. Through a range of frontline services it provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their relatives and carers.  

They work closely with health and legal professionals and provide guidance on such matters as social services and financial support. 

The Wirral Dragon Boat Festival is back for its fourth year bringing some friendly competition and family fun to West Kirby Marine Lake once again. 

The festival is in aid of Headway Wirral and each  year it help to raise much needed funds for this remarkable charity.       

 This year’s event on Saturday 25th July has seen more teams registered than ever before. New for this year there will also be drinks live music from Groove Society at the West Kirby Sailing Club once the racing is complete.  

There will also be food and drinks available on the side lines of the race and there will be raffles and competitions on the day with cash prizes up for grabs, all in support of Headway Wirral.
