2017 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 · 30 July 2017

We exist to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society. We believe that home is everything.

Story

Hi, thanks for visiting our JustGiving page.

We are Team Vida, consisting of David Tweedy, Louisa Sedgwick, Ian Giles, Simon Burnell, Tommy Wight, Plamen Mitkov, Joshua Dines and Dave Whitford of Vida Homeloans and Sam Barker of Mortgage Strategy.

Vida Homeloans is a small but dynamic new mortgage lender. We help people who might not fit high street lenders' criteria to buy property. But we recognise that not everyone is as fortunate with their housing and we feel that it is important to support Shelter in its work helping homeless families in the UK. We are riding the 100 miles of the Prudential RideLondon 100 on 30th July 2017, looking to raise around £5,000 for Shelter. We’re aiming to do it at around 6 hour pace (an average of 16.7 miles per hour).

We are planning some training rides now that it is getting lighter, warmer and (slightly) drier. Meanwhile, we're all trying to lose some weight and get a bit fitter, ready to get on our bikes and ride!

Juliet of Shelter has sent this kind message: “We’re really pleased that Vida Homeloans will be entering a team of 9 riders to raise funds for Shelter. We wish them and all our Team Shelter riders the best of luck in their training and their fundraising activity”.
