The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

We're all lucky enough to work at Dogs Trust's Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre and we get to spend our days making sure that the dogs in our care are given all of the love, care and attention that they need until they leave for their forever homes.  However, every dog that crosses our door needs more than just TLC - food, veterinary care, heating and light, providing beds, blankets, toys and maintaining the runs and kennels all costs money.

At the moment, Covid 19 is obviously the most important thing on everyone's mind but as a result of the pandemic, lots of big events, which would have seen lots of money raised for good causes, have had to be cancelled or postponed.

We wanted to do our bit to try and help and so we've decided to complete our own unique marathon (26.2 miles). Everybody taking part will cover a distance of at least 1 mile (some will do much more!) in their own unique way - be it on foot, on wheels, in fancy dress, with a doggie companion or two...our imaginations are running wild!

We started our training on 26th April (the date that London Marathon should have happened, one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for Dogs Trust) and we’ll complete a month later, on 26th May.

Please support us by making a donation in support of Dogs Trust.  We'll keep you updated and promise to share lots of embarrassing photos with all of our supporters!

Thank you.
